Challenge
Barangays around Lake Lanao sit hours from the nearest hospital by road or trail. Routine consultations and maternal checkups were often skipped entirely.
Response
A rotating medical mission team now visits barangays on a fixed monthly circuit, carrying consultations, basic medicine, and referrals, and training local community health workers to sustain care between visits.
Impact
Multiple barangays around Lake Lanao now receive a scheduled visit every month, with referral pathways for cases that need more than a mobile clinic can offer.
