For Mojahid Tanda Tamano from Madamba, Lanao del Sur, graduating from college represents more than an academic achievement. It marks an important milestone in a journey shaped by perseverance, faith, education, and the support of people who believed in his future.
Mojahid pursued a degree in Criminology, inspired by a childhood dream of serving others and contributing to peace, justice, and safety in his community. Before college, he also received an Islamic education that helped shape his character and outlook on life.

Continuing Despite the Challenges
Mojahid's journey through higher education was not always easy. Financial challenges sometimes made it difficult to meet the costs associated with his studies. With determination, encouragement from his family and teachers, and sponsorship support, he was able to continue pursuing his education.
Through MyCARE's sponsorship program, supported by an individual sponsor from Malaysia and implemented by Philippine Humanitarian Care (PHILCARE) Inc. in the Philippines, Mojahid received assistance that helped cover educational expenses such as school fees, transportation, and other academic needs.
For Mojahid, the sponsorship represented more than financial assistance. It was also a reminder that someone believed in his potential and cared about his future. He remains grateful to his mother, brothers, teachers, sponsor, MyCARE, and PHILCARE for supporting and encouraging him throughout his journey.
A Milestone and a New Beginning
Graduation was a deeply meaningful moment for Mojahid. He remembered the difficult days that came before it and thanked Allah for making things easier. For him, seeing one of his dreams come true was both a celebration and a reminder of how far he had come.

Through his Criminology studies, Mojahid developed a deeper appreciation for discipline, responsibility, justice, and service. After graduation, he hopes to pursue opportunities in public service and use his education to contribute positively to his community.
Today, Mojahid hopes that the support he once received will inspire him to serve others in return. His experience reflects the value of sustained educational support: helping a young person not only reach graduation, but also develop the knowledge, character, and sense of responsibility needed to contribute to his community.
