MARAWI CITY, Philippines — The Board of Trustees of Philippine Humanitarian Care (PHILCARE) Inc. held a strategic discussion on September 6, 2026, on the organization’s priorities for the remainder of the year.
The meeting reviewed PHILCARE’s progress in humanitarian programmes, partnerships, volunteer development, institutional systems, governance and organizational readiness, while considering how the organization can use its available resources responsibly and strengthen implementation during the final months of 2026.
Among the priorities discussed were strengthening programme quality and impact, maintaining effective humanitarian response capacity, progressively expanding recovery, community resilience and sustainable empowerment initiatives, strengthening partnerships and resource mobilization, developing volunteers and organizational capacity, and continuing the phased implementation of approved governance and institutional systems.
The Board also considered organizational readiness and the practical requirements associated with regulatory and institutional development, recognizing that some processes require additional resources, documentation and coordination before they can be completed.
The discussion reaffirmed PHILCARE’s commitment to balancing immediate humanitarian needs with longer-term community resilience, while maintaining responsible governance, accountability and realistic organizational growth.
The identified priorities will guide management and organizational efforts through December 2026 and inform subsequent planning for the year ahead.
