Philippine Humanitarian Care (PHILCARE) Inc., represented by its President and CEO, Jamal P. Tanduc, participated in the Provincial Development Council (PDC) 1st Semester Regular Meeting held on June 29, 2026, at the Social Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Marawi City.
PHILCARE was among the civil society organizations invited to participate in the council meeting, reflecting the important role of civil society in local development dialogue, coordination, and participatory governance in Lanao del Sur.
The meeting discussed key provincial development priorities, including the 2027–2029 Provincial Development Investment Program (PDIP) and the 2027 Annual Investment Plan, as well as updates on poverty incidence and the implementation of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) across local government units.
Development sector updates also covered infrastructure programs, energy efficiency and conservation, local revenue performance, economic resilience initiatives, development planning and governance, and disaster risk reduction and management.
PHILCARE’s participation forms part of its continuing engagement with government, civil society, and other stakeholders in advancing coordinated and community-responsive development in Lanao del Sur.
Through participation in platforms such as the Provincial Development Council, PHILCARE seeks to contribute its humanitarian and community-based perspective while strengthening coordination with institutions working toward resilient and sustainable communities.
