PhilCare has pre-positioned food, water, and shelter stock in Maguindanao del Sur ahead of the peak rainy season, building on the flood response first deployed in August 2025.

Warehousing stock inside the province removes the transport delay that has previously slowed relief after severe flooding along the Rio Grande de Mindanao — the gap between the water rising and the first kit reaching an affected household.

  • Target: full stock ahead of peak flooding season
  • Response time target: under 72 hours from any point of impact in the province
  • Stock includes food parcels, water containers, and shelter tarpaulins

Distribution will be coordinated jointly with barangay councils, which will help identify the households at greatest risk during an active response.
